Progress Together

Matthias Kusch – Council District 2

Why I am running:

My 3 daughters were born and raised here, and like you, I want a bright future for them by embracing technology, creating affordable housing and working to protect the cultural landscape and environment.

After working for Hawaii Fire Department for 25 years, managing affordable rentals that actively coordinate with the County, and having led several local non-profits; I understand the County of Hawaii inside and out. I have reached a milestone in life where I am uniquely qualified to take on the biggest issues facing Hawaii Island and turn them into solutions.

Our homeless/houseless population needs to be addressed so families feel safe and business’ can thrive. Now is the time to take this proven experience, local know-how, and make progress together to a better future.
